The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Communications said that the work related to the Istanbul Canal project is continuing despite the difficult situation in the country.
The ministry said in a statement, according to Turkey Now, that the tender that took place today is considered an integral part of the process of establishing the channel, noting that its time was determined previously.
She added that during this period in which our country is fighting the epidemic, some are looking for opportunities to stop investment and production, and those who pursue opportunistic politics.
She indicated that they are more dangerous to our nation than the virus itself.
The Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu has stated that his ministry conducts assessments on a daily basis about the recent conditions, indicating that the movement stopped in public life by 80% in Turkey and the rate of passengers traveling on public buses between cities decreased by 73 percent. The level of flights decreased by 81 percent.
The minister explained that there are 4 very important measures that we are working on to reduce the epidemic, namely: 1. practicing the medical system, 2. the continuation of public order, 3. social isolation, 4. the continuation of food supplies.
He pointed out that they will continue to raise the level of procedures and take a lesson in following the world, noting that the rate of success so far has reached 75%.
