Turkish carpet exports set a record in the first third of this year, with an increase of 46.5 percent, compared to the same period last year, and revenues estimated at one billion and 75 million dollars.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Council, on Friday, carpet exports from January to April 2021 amounted to one billion and 75 million dollars.
It indicated a growth rate in the volume of exports, amounting to 46.5 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year.
The data indicate that the value of carpet exports during the past 12 months (May 1, 2020 – April 30, 2021), amounted to two billion and 944 million and 994 thousand dollars.
She explained that the carpets were exported to 139 countries. The United States ranked first in the list of importers, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Libya, England and Germany, respectively.
